News

04/05 - Following an extensive meeting held this month, the training band is changing the way it runs. There will now be 5 ability groups, Semibreves, Minims, Crotchet, Quavers and Rollers. These groups will be decided by the tutors every 6-7 weeks. To find out more visit the Important Information page.

02/05 - The Training band is now working from the 'Team Brass' books. These are available from the band at a slightly reduced price.

01/05 - Training Band changes from 18.45-19.45 to 18.35-19.35 to allow time between training band and senior band.

09/04 - The training band now owns: 7 courtois cornets, 1 courtois horn, 2 courtois baritones, 1 courtois euphonium, 2 courtois basses (1xEEb, 1xBBb), 1 courtois bass trombone, 4 snare drums with cases and 1 bass drum with case. These are the 1st of two batches. The next batch of instruments will be delivered sometime in late 2005.
